Elebits has got to be one of the most interesting games I have ever played. This is one the only game that I know of where you can interact with everything! Do you have a house in your way? Think no more, just lift it over your head, throw it in the distance and be on your way. This game basically makes the world your playground.

You play as Kai, a little boy who has parents that like there work more than their son. His parents work with these creatures called Elebits. These creatures basically make the world run. If you don't have the "power" of the elebits, then nothing electronic will work. (Say goodbye WiiBoost. Sad) One day while sitting at home, the power goes out in the whole city. What could be the cause of this? It looks like that Kai will have to get to the bottom of this.

This game is projected towards a younger age group, but I still had a blast playing it. There are 3 modes that you can do: Story, Time Attack and Level Editor. Story mode is basically what it sounds like where you have to collect a certain ammount of elebits within a time limit. Time Attack is the same thing minus the story line. Just collect as many elebits as you can and send your time to your friends to see if they can beat it! Level Editor is basically what it means. You can create your own levels and send them to your friends to see if they can beat it.

The game may seem childish at first, and the voice overs may be sub par at best, but you will get over all of that when you can finally lift semi-trucks over your head and throw them 2 football field lengths away.

Story: 8.0 - The story for this game is pretty basic. Mom and dad don't hang out with Kai. Kai gets mad and saves the day. Mom and dad like Kai again.

Graphics: 9.0 - For being a Wii game, the graphics are very good. For me, there weren't any grainy images, or parts where anything looks distorted. They did a good job in this department.

Controls: 9.5 - These controls are perhaps some of the best on the wii. The creators did a good job using a 3D plane seeing as you can push objects, pull them closer, twist and turn them and even break some objects if you throw them too hard. In order to turn a door, you need to twist the remote in order to turn the knob, ect. Very good in my opinion.

Sound: 8.0 - The sounds get repetitive. Plain and simple. Everytime you "zap" an elebit, they let out a tiny squeal. Perhaps in pain? I know I would be in pain if I was zapped by a laser... Poor things...Sad

Lasting Appeal: 8.5 - After I beat this game, I went back and did the Time Attack mode. After that I played countless hours on the level editor. It's so much fun placing items where you want.

Overall: 8.5 - I would definatley recommend this game. I felt that they did a very good job on most of the game, but there were some improvements that could have been made, the story and voice acting for example. If you can get over those, then I would think you would enjoy this game.
good review I just might get it now
Sounds quite interesting!
Review could've been a lot better...But at least you got it right that the game is great and comes well-recommended. Not bad.
